It has been one month since Grateful Brand launched and I would like to share an observation that has enriched my life beyond measure.
Before I launched Grateful Brand, the idea was a permanent fixture in my daily internal monologue. It almost sounds silly to think about, but for almost anything that annoyed me or inconvenienced me, brought down my spirit or caused me frustration or pain, I would simply think to myself, "Grateful Brand." This was my band-aide for life and it worked, to a large degree.
Now, things are different. That internal reminder has been all but silenced. This is because I now see kindness and gratitude every day and every where I go. Without fail, I receive an email from someone, often times from a far away country, or I receive a message through Facebook or Twitter or a comment is made on one of the posts.
I have become hypersensitive to anything pertaining to expressing gratitude or acts of kindness and I notice inspiring examples or poignant signs every day where as before Grateful Brand became such an important project in my life, I often had only my internal reminder. I have become a kinder person and through karmic balance, I believe the world is being kinder to me. I know it sounds strange but things have been happening that surprise me, for example: Los Angeles is not a friendly city when it comes to driving and I happen to drive the smallest possible car you can purchase in the United States. I have recently noticed a tremendous influx of people being unusually courteous to me while driving and this is just one of many examples. I don't know if it's because I have become more courteous or not but I want to credit the wealth of positive energy I have received from adopting a Grateful Brand and from you, my readers.
I want you all to feel the same way I do and to share those thoughts and feelings with anyone willing to listen. Thank you for your support and continued readership. Please continue spreading the word.
Enjoy the weekend!

Goldie Hawn appeared on the Dr. OZ show on ABC this week. He inquired of her,"How do you stay so youthful and seem to be such a happy person?" She replied without hesitation, "Gratitude." She went on to explain, "I wake up each day and find ten things that I am grateful for, and I express gratitude and seek opportunities to show acts of kindness." These simple principles practiced daily can have great benefits in helping individuals to live happier and healthy lives, Dr. OZ discussed.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU, "GRATEFUL BRAND", HAPPY BIRTHDAY...AND GOLDIE WAS FABULOUS!!
Dane, Gratefulbrand continues to be inspiration for me.You cannot appreciate what being grateful means until you walk in the shoes of one who lives from day to day depending on an act of kindness expressed by someone like the manager at a Mcdonald's or from anyone who understands that we are our brother's keepers. I would not be surprised if he fed them as well. My gratitude to McDonald's! There are some good people left in this world!
